From July 24-27, a group from HBC took a ministry trip to Bradford, PA and Faith Baptist Church where Bill Raymond serves as pastor. Their objective was to construct a garage-type building next to the church and to conduct three days of Vacation Bible School in the evenings. Both aspects were a great encouragement to the church and a wonderful opportunity of service for the team. Attendance of the young people was encouraging, and two made professions of faith. The building project made excellent progress every day and was completed quickly.
The team members included Pastor & Liz Franklin, Bill,Deb, & Kevin Komand, Art Shultz, Jr., Wayne Sickler, Ken Field, Rob Gerkensmeyer, and Kevin King. The construction team practically completed the entire building with the exception of the foundation, roof, and door. The VBS workers were joined by some members from the church, using the same theme and some of the materials from the VBS at HBC. Many young people heard some vital truths from God’s Word for the first time. The shed will be a continual help to the regular ministry of the church. All the glory goes to God!
