Friday Notes

A Few Notes:

• The first Men’s Breakfast of the season will be tomorrow at 8 [Plan to be with us for 1 hour – great eats and fellowship].
• Our Deacons will have a fall planning meeting tomorrow from 9 till noon.
• We had a great 9/11 service last week
• Pray for our young people away at college

As we look ahead to the Lord’s Day, I will speak on Back to Basics in the morning and missionary Bill Knipe will be with us for our evening service.

I’ve been thinking …

New Sunday School classes for the fall, choir rehearsals, the start up of our week day youth ministries, the opening of GCCS, and the startup of many other ministries here at HBC remind us that it is time to get back to basics.   I will review a few of these this Lord’s Day with the message on getting back to basics.  I will be at tonight’s Phillies Game – the magic number is 2, hopefully they remember the basics as they head into the playoffs.
