Friday Notes: October 28, 2011

A Few Notes:

  • Our youth meetings are tonight at 7
  • The College Age Activity starts at 9 PM  [Hayride, Sundaes, and V-ball]
  • The Men’s Golf Tournament has been postponed till next Saturday   SNOW ???

As we look ahead to the Lord’s Day, I will speak in the morning on A Treat for the Devil.   At our 6 PM service we will continue in our study of Deuteronomy with the message On Loving God  from chapters 6-11.

 I’ve been thinking …

As I read of men and women of history I marvel at their courage in the face of adversity.  Where are such people today?  Where are the brilliant economists that can deliver us from this financial mess in our country?  Where are the bold politicians that will rise up in the stead of our sitting president and point this nation in the right direction?  Where are men and women that will lead?   In the Churches of our day, where are such bold and courageous men of God that will stand out and make a difference in ministry?  Gideon made a difference in his generation and so can you.  I hope to see you Sunday.
