Friday Notes: October 7, 2011

A Few Notes:

  • Our youth meetings are tonight at 7; there will be pajama night for the King’s Kids
  • Tomorrow – Ladies are welcome to the Tri-State Ladies brunch 9:30 at Bethel.
  • Fall Family Festival from 2 – 7     This is for the whole family!  Dinner will be at 3 – A pig roast for all.     Kids – the Moon Bounce was just delivered!
  • There will be a baptism class at 5:15 on Sunday.

As we look ahead to the Lord’s Day, I will speak on How will your Story End  [James 5:11] in the morning and at our 6 PM service, we will continue in our study of Deuteronomy with the message Seeing Him who is Invisible.

 I’ve been thinking …

There are times when we consider the end of the story of an individual’s life and impact as I did this past week.  Looking back, I saw one who, in the words of Paul, did spend and was spent in the work of the ministry for people.  His story ended well.  There is a unique phrase in James 5:11 that mentions “the end of the Lord.”  On Sunday we will consider how our experiences [good or bad] have a specific design.  I hope to see you.
