[we will have apple pie and ice cream for all].
We will sing carols and Bill Knipe will bring a challenge from the Word.
As we look ahead to the Lord’s Day, our choir will sing and I will speak on Christmas through the Eyes of a Carpenter in the morning service. At our 6 PM service, our choir will present the cantata The New Born King. This is an event you will not want to miss; invite a friend.
I’ve been thinking …
Men, what if you were in Joseph’s sandals? What would your response be to all that unfolded on that first Christmas? Your betrothed wife is suddenly with child, people are starting to talk, a visit by an angel, specific instructions, a waiting period of about a year, here come the angels again, shepherds, and later wise men from afar. What was Christmas like through the eyes of this simple carpenter? How did it all fit together in his heart and mind? We look forward to the Lord’s Day with great delight.
