Friday Notes

A Few Notes:

• Our Youth Meetings are tonight at 7.
• The Ladies’ Christmas Brunch will be tomorrow at 10 AM; all are welcome for this special time of fellowship – plan to be here.
• Children’s Christmas choir practice will be on Sunday morning at the 9:45 opening.
• Four New Adults Classes will begin on Sunday at 9:45.

As we look ahead to the Lord’s Day, our choir will sing and I will speak on The Virgin Birth and the New Birth in the morning service.   At our 6 PM service, we will continue in our series Declarations in Deuteronomy with the message, Standards for a Godly People.

 I’ve been thinking …

Christmas is upon us and thoughts of the Miracle of all Miracles have flooded my mind in recent days.  Luke, the beloved physician, offers an explanation of the virgin birth in powerful, majestic terms.  I would like to explain this a little on Sunday and then draw a parallel to another miracle – the New Birth.  Never get over the fact that your eternal salvation is indeed a miracle; the parallels are unique and thought provoking.  We look forward to the Lord’s Day with great delight.
