The church staff functions as an effective ministry team in shepherding the flock at Hardingville, challenging believers to serve the Savior, and winning to lost to Christ. We are blessed as a ministry to have faithful men serving the Lord through the preaching and teaching the Word of God and leading God’s people in the ways of sanctification. Biographical information for each member of the church staff is provided below so you can get to know these servants of the Lord.
Pastor Mark Franklin
Pastor Franklin has been in pastoral ministry for 33 years , 30 years as Pastor at HBC, beginning his ministry here in August, 1982. He is married to Liz (32 years) and has 3 sons, 1 daughter, and a grandson.Pastor Franklin also serves as Administrator at Gloucester County Christian School (GCCS) and on the Executive Committee of both the American Council of Christian Churches (ACCC) and the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches (FFBC). He has been honored to speak at various camps and conferences and has traveled abroad some to teach.
Dr. Terry Smith
Dr. Smith has been in pastoral ministry for over 50 years and has served in various churches. He joined the staff at HBC in October 2003 as an Assistant to the Pastor. He is married to Mary (53 years) and has 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson.Pastor Terry assists in all aspects of the ministry, especially with visitation and teaching along with oversight of our Senior Saints ministry. He preaches in many area churches and serves as the National Representative of the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches (FFBC).
Pastor Bruce Dare
Pastor Bruce joined the staff at HBC in August 2007 as an Assistant to the Pastor. He and his wife, Danielle, are continuing their preparation for life ministry. Their desire is to be used of the Lord to impact the next generation in discipleship and ministry.Along with various teaching opportunities, Pastor Bruce serves in an administrative capacity for various ministries of the church and provides oversight for the King’s Kids, Jr. High Teens, and Sr. High Teens youth programs. He is currently attending Calvary Baptist Seminary to receive further training.
Mr. Don Netz
Mr. Netz has been serving as the Principal at Gloucester County Christian School (GCCS) for the past 25 years. He is married to Bonnie (35 years) and has 5 sons. His experience and excellence in Christian Education have been a great asset to the ministry of the school.In addition to his teaching responsibilities in the high school and leadership role at GCCS, Mr. Netz is currently the President of the Garden State Association of Christian Schools (GSACS). He also teaches regularly in adult Sunday School at HBC and at various youth meetings.
