Missions

We believe that at Hardingville Bible Church, we have a solemn duty to fullfill our Lord’s command to spread the gospel throughout the world. Over the years, our missions board has developed nine governing policies that have been based upon Biblical principles.

Any Missionary supported by this Church must be a member of a Fundamental Bible Believing Church and channeled through a recognized Fundamental Mission Board.
It is possible for an individual to be elected to the HBC Mission Board who has a relative serving as one of our missionaries. If this is the case, that member will be dismissed from a meeting when any sensitive issue of that missionary is discussed.
The Board under which a Missionary serves, must not belong to the National Council of Churches or the World Council of Churches.
Each Missionary is to regularly send items of prayer and praise that we might pray more effectively for them. Our Mission Board will determine the regularity of correspondence.
We will require all of our Missionaries to affirm their agreement with our Missionary Policy and Church Doctrinal Statement annually. At that time we will also send a Missions Information Request Form to gather information on their ministry and needs.
Any new Missionaries are to be presented for approval of the congregation at a regular or specially called meeting of the membership.
In evaluating missionary candidates, the following priority order should be considered:
- Candidates from Hardingville Bible Church
- Candidates from a church in the Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches (Our Fellowship of Churches)
- Candidates from the Tri-State Delaware Valley area
- Candidates from a church within an 8 to 10 hour drive of HBC
- Candidates from a church outside of the 8-10 hour drive of HBC
Support may be given to a member of HBC who is involved in missionary service.
We recognize the benefit of “Direct Missions” and HBC is willing to serve as the Mission Board for one of our members. It is our intention, as the Lord provides, to assume the responsibility of the Missionary and the majority of the financial support. The HBC member will be required to spend the majority of the furlough time in ministry with HBC.

We support 33 missionaries serving all over the world, from the Ukraine to Los Angeles! The Lord has chosen to richly bless our ministry through the avenue of missions, and we look forward to the things that God is going to do in the hearts and lives of people throughout the world!
