The Friday Notes is a weekly update written by Pastor in review of the week, or looking forward to the worship services on Sunday.

Friday Notes: March 18,2011

A Few Notes:

  • Youth Meetings tonight 7-9
  • Our Men’s Breakfast Ministry is tomorrow at 8  [Steak and Eggs]
  • Our Missions Conference will begin Sunday

As we look ahead to the Lord’s Day, our King’s Kids and our Choir will sing.  Our Missions Conference begins Sunday with Dr. Jim Bennett of Frontline Missions International .   He will speak in all three services on Sunday and Monday night will be a general meeting with Dr. Bennett.  Tuesday night will be special, with a soup and sandwich dinner for all at 6 PM; this will be followed by a panel discussion – all in Harmony Hall.

I’ve been thinking …

Many of the 194 readers of these “notes” have not travelled abroad much, including your pastor.  It is a big world!   While I have a limited perspective of what the church looks like in Panama, China, Ireland, Japan, Scotland, France, Alaska, etc – there are many places I have not been.   Much of the Church is deprived of essentials, persecuted, limited, and struggling.  We, in the US, are the exception.   May this Missions Conference help us to lift our eyes to see the Mission Field as it really is today.   May we Redeem the Time and be challenged to effectively minister to a dying world.  Stay tuned, see you on Sunday.

Have a great weekend, Pastor
