A Few Notes:
- There are no youth meetings tonight
- Pray for various ones traveling this weekend and for a blessed Easter Sunday here at HBC as we celebrate our Lord’s Resurrection from the dead.
As we look ahead to the Lord’s Day our King’s Kids and our Choir will sing. This will be my 29th Easter Sunday message here at HBC – Three Days in the Grave from Luke 24. Hope to see you! On Sunday night at 6, we will have a special musical presentation by our choir; experience the joy of that first Easter in Scripture and Song.
I’ve been thinking …
The week before Easter, several people sat at the table with a man who had been in the grave. What a testimony Lazarus was to others on that day as he shared his personal experience of being raised from the dead, after being in the grave for those four days. In that context our Lord uttered those familiar words: I am the resurrection and the life. It was one week later; Jesus had been crucified and buried. That sacred body was in the grave going on the third day, the drama was mounting. The phrase “third day” was a buzz with the priests and Pharisees. Could it be…. Would this man who was dead come back to life like Lazarus? Then came Sunday…. See you then!
Have a great weekend,
