A Few Notes:
- The Jr. High Teens will meet tonight
- Ladies – there will be a Baby Shower Brunch for Kate Power tomorrow at 10
As we look ahead to the Lord’s Day our Choir will sing and missionary Mark Mandarano and family will be with us for the AM service. He will share a report on his ministry in Ireland and a challenge from the Word. We will also observe the Lord’s Table. On Sunday night at 6 PM, we will continue in our series Helps from Hebrews, with the message “Endurance in an Evil Day.”
I’ve been thinking …
All of England, and much of the world, has turned their eyes and hearts towards the events of the royal wedding this very day. There are many positives in the midst of the pomp and circumstance of the occasion, namely, that marriage is between a man and a woman, and that it is special. For hundred years ago, this Monday, the entire English speaking world would never be the same because of the publication of the King James Version of the Bible, 1611. Oh that the eyes and hearts of England would be turned to that monumental event in their history. While there will be some celebration in the English speaking world, I am sure that it will pale in comparison to what unfolded today in England and around the world by means of our media. Stay tuned this May, for two messages that will help us to appreciate this literary heritage.
Have a great weekend,
