Easter Letter 2011

Easter Letter 2011

Dear Family and Friends of Hardingville,

There are a few verses that mention this little word “alive” in the resurrection narrative of that first Easter morning.   What was it like for the early disciples and friends to hear that the crucified One was alive?  Can you imagine the news that traveled through the religious leaders, especially the Sadducees who denied the concept of resurrection?

Mark 16:11 states: And they, when they had heard that he was alive
Luke 24:23 states:  And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
Acts 1:3 mentions: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days…

The joy of this season of the year is to announce that He is Alive!   Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, and is coming again in power and great glory.

Easter Sunday is April 24th this year.  We want to remind you of our special services on that Sunday at 9:45 & 11:00 AM and at 6:00 PM.  Plan to be with us on this special Lord’s Day as our choir sings and the wonderful truth of resurrection is heralded forth in the message, Three Days in the Grave.  Invite a friend and share the enclosed tract with a friend.

I want to invite you to a special concert by our choir on Easter Sunday night, at 6 PM, under the direction of Dave Hibbard.   Come celebrate Christ’s Resurrection in Song and Word.   I want to wish you and your family a blessed Resurrection Day and hope to see you Sunday night also!

Because He Lives,

Mark Franklin, Pastor
