A Note from the Depues…

Thank you for praying for our family.  I (Karen) arrived safely in Kansas City last Friday afternoon.  It is so wonderful to be here with Marc and Angela.  Our grandson Ethan is such a “little honey.”  Having only seen photos,  I was not prepared for how little he really is.  He is now over 5 weeks old and weighs 3 lbs, 5 oz.  They assure me that he is much bigger now than when he was born.  I can’t imagine!  Last week they took him off of the CPAP, and now he is on just a nasal canula and feeding tube. He is  progressing very well.  Thank you for praying for him.  He is still in the NICU and will stay until he is off of all “machines” and tubes, gains sufficient weight, and learns to drink milk like a newborn baby, without choking, etc.  He still has a way to go before he can be released, but he is headed in the right direction.  For that, we are grateful.  Bob and the boys are doing well in my absence..   Bob and Karen Depue    Note:  HBC and another supporting church brought Karen home for this special time.

A Few Notes about GCCS:

We have had a few work nights on the new building with much accomplished. We have done most of the interior framing in the new building and are pulling all the internet and phone wires.   The men and women who have helped have been great.

We are yet in need of funds to complete this project; thanks to those who are helping with the little yellow envelopes.

Your prayers for the summer completion and move are needed as we look ahead to September.

There is a Junior High teaching position open at our school for this fall.  If you know of someone interested, please see Don.
