It was exciting to hear of the young people that have been in church the past few weeks at Faith Baptist in Bradford after the Mission Trip there.  We rejoice in this abounding fruit of our labors as we just heard of another teen who trusted Christ as a result of our time there.  I also heard the shingles have been put on the roof of the garage.

The Usher   An elderly woman walked into the local country church. The friendly usher greeted her at the door and helped her up the flight of steps.  “Where would you like to sit?” he asked politely.  “The front row, please,” she answered..  “You really don’t want to do that,” the usher said. “The pastor is really boring.”  “Do you happen to know who I am?” the woman inquired. “No,” he said.  “I’m the pastor’s mother,” she replied indignantly.  “Do you know who I am?” he asked.  “No,” she said. “Good,” he answered.

It was a joy to hear reports from the ministry of a number of our young people in recent weeks.  I also want you to know that our church gave gifts to those who were involved in such ministries to help them with college expenses.

We have featured some of our young people on Sunday night over the summer in providing a few special music numbers.   This has been a great blessing to all.   Amanda Harker will do a few songs this evening during the normal          “Favorites” time.   The Lord has richly blessed HBC with talented young people and we do thank them for ministering.  Pray for them as they head off to college.

Today is an anniversary Sunday for Liz and me here at HBC.  It was 29 years ago today that we began our ministry here at Hardingville, and it has truly been the joy of our lives.  We have witnessed the Lord do some amazing things and have been through much together as a “family” – to God be the Glory.                        – Pastor
