Many thanks to the different ones involved in the 4-H Fair Ministry this year. We gave away a slice of watermelon and gospel tract to many that stopped by our booth. People also picked up various pieces of literature from our table. Thanks also to George and Christy Cassaday for donating the watermelons again this year. Pray that the Lord would honor His Word as it has gone forth to many this past week.
Did you know that GCCS qualifies for Matching Gifts? I was reminded of this again as we received another gift this week from the Exxon/Mobil Foundation. The way this works is pretty simple. Many large companies will match whatever gift you give to a non-profit organization. So if you send a $500 gift, the company will also match that and send $500. You may want to pick up a brochure on this in the foyer and see if your company has such a program, many do! These have helped the building fund project. Thank you to those who have taken advantage of this.
Our Semi-Annual Business Meeting went well; the minutes are posted. The Annual Report of the school was received; copies are on the Info Booth. The budget for the ’11-’12 school year was approved. One other item of business: we added Terry & Rachel Ritschard to our missions family here at HBC. They are missionaries to PNG with GFA.
Our church staff will be attending the Annual Meeting of the FFBC at Tri-State Bible Conference this week. We look forward to a great week of fellowship and to the ministry of Dr. Matt Olson from Northland. –
