Dale Oxley, faithful servant of Christ, was called home to glory on September 30; he was 85. Dale and Betty went to Japan in 1952 and served as church planters for half a century. They were supported by our church since the late 1950’s. Liz and I attended the memorial service this past week in Hermitage, TN. I was one of the speakers at the service and appreciated some time with Betty and the family. Three men from Japan came to the memorial service. It was a delight to talk with Pastor Inoue whom I had not seen in 20 years. Send a card to Betty: 1505 Clover Ct, Hermitage, TN 37036. Mention that you are from HBC.
Sermon Notes – These are available each Sunday and are on the Info Booth shortly after 9:30. Many use these and find benefit in being able to follow the weekly sermon more closely. Parents can likewise encourage their children to take notes on the message and fill in the various blanks. Taking notes will help you to retain truth and will enable you to share it with others.
