Faculty, students, families and friends have looked forward to this day for years. Today, we rejoice in God’s blessing and favor upon Gloucester County Christian School with a new high school building, gymnasium and assembly room. There will be an OPEN HOUSE today from 1-3.
This new building is the fruit of years of thought, planning, saving, praying, and a lot of hard work. We are indebted to:
- a faithful faculty and staff that continue to serve and sacrifice to make GCCS a very distinctive place of Christian education.
- a church family who has sacrificially given, prayed, and labored in the project since the original business meeting in January of 2010 when we voted to start the project
- a building committee that met regularly, made decisions, and helped to oversee the entire project
- Bill Komand, though a paid servant of the HBC ministries, has labored to the glory of God in the day to day oversight of this new building.
The Lord entrusted our ministry with this school in 1997. We took this new responsibility seriously and set a few goals. The first, by God’s grace, was to improve the testimony and reputation of GCCS; this in fact has happened. A second goal was to see the spiritual atmosphere of the school improve. While this is a constant burden, we have seen many good things happen. A third goal was to improve the academics at our school. The Lord has added some wonderful, well qualified, and dedicated faculty to GCCS over the last 10 years. Having this faculty and staff has improved our school academically. A final goal in the heart of our pastor was to improve our facilities and to erect a new state-of-the-art building. This construction improves the facilities for our young people and many others.
On this day we dedicate this building to the glory of God. It is the desire of the members of Hardingville Bible Church to see many young people continue to have their hearts stirred by God’s truth and that they might understand how this truth intersects with every other academic discipline.
