As we look ahead to the Lord’s Day, our choir will sing I will speak on Miracles at Calvary in the morning service. We will observe the Lord’s Table. We will have songs, testimonies and special music at our 6 PM service and continue in our series on Deuteronomy with the message Compassion and a Godly People.
I’ve been thinking …
It is probably true that the miracle of Christmas still resonates in the minds of many. I imagine that some have started taking decorations down and that most of the leftovers and cookies are about gone. The miracle of the virgin birth and new birth still stir in my heart and mind. Sunday morning we will observe the Lord’s Table after our service. I want us to think a little about the miracles at Calvary. There were at least 5 specific interventions by God as Christ died on the cross for the sin of the world. See if you can name them prior to picking up sermon notes on Sunday. I would like to examine the significance of each of those for today. We look forward to the Lord’s Day with you.
