I’ve been thinking …
Is it possible for one to “make sure” of their salvation? Peter used this very terminology in 2nd Peter 1:10 as he wrote his second letter. I wonder if this was true in Peter’s life after his denial. Is it possible that such major blow outs in our lives may lead us to question and wonder about our salvation? Peter expresses concern about his brethren and their personal assurance of salvation. Perhaps he does this because of the persecution and suffering that was trying their very souls. When “stuff” happens, we may need to assure our hearts of our own personal relationship with the Living God. We look forward to the Lord’s Day with you.
