Today is a glorious day in the life of the Church as Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? (1 Corinthians 15:55). One can only imagine what it must have been like to arrive at the tomb early that Sunday and find it empty. Fear, excitement, wonder, awe, and joy were natural emotions. To see and hear from an angel that Jesus was alive would further stir the heart. We rejoice in those words He is risen; He is not here (Mark 16:6).
This is the 19th anniversary of the HBC Back Page. The first one was April 4, 1993. This little weekly column has carried news items, announcements, antidotes, and a variety of tidbits for your information and challenge. Doing the math, that equals nearly 1000 half pages; yes, I have them all! Many appreciate reading this column every week and several read it online.
