Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see firsthand the most significant archaeological find of the last century! On Thursday, June 14, HBC will be sponsoring a trip to see the special exhibit at The Franklin Institute entitled “Dead Sea Scrolls: Life and Faith in Ancient Times.” Our group tour will start at 10 am, and tickets will include General Admission to the entire museum. Payment is due no later than Sunday, May 27! No refund available once tickets are purchased, and a minimum of 15 needed for group rate. You are welcome to join the group going in a van from HBC. They will will leave the church at 9 am and stop in Deptford for lunch. If you would like to drive yourself, please arrive at the exhibit by 10 am.
This special exhibit presents one of the most comprehensive collections of ancient artifacts from Israel ever organized, including more than 600 items on display. Specially featured are twenty scrolls including the oldest known copies of the Hebrew Bible and an actual three-ton stone from Jerusalem’s Western Wall.
