A Few Notes:
- The Gloucester County Fair is in full swing… we have a booth set up at the fair; pray for those who are working the booth and handing out free water and a gospel tract.
- There will be a bridal shower for Michelle Zoback tomorrow at 1 PM – all ladies are welcome.
- Our semi-Annual membership meeting will be Sunday night after the service.
- Pray for families traveling this time of the year.
As we look ahead to Sunday, I will speak on Sunday, Funday or Runday at the 11 AM service. I know I am making up words; it is like playing scrabble with Liz! At our 6 PM service we will continue in our study of 1st Thessalonians with the message: The Certainty of Christian Hope from the latter part of chapter 4.
I’ve been thinking …
What are your Sunday’s like? How have they changed since the kids have grown? Is it still the Lord’s Day? Sometimes I wonder – whose day is it any way? Times have surely changed as we consider the Lord’s Day observance. This Sunday, we will consider a challenge that is appropriate for all of us. It will not be my intention to turn the clock back 50 years, but let’s take a look at how we have caved into cultural demands and let us get concerned about honoring Him on His Day – see you Sunday.
