Our 4-H Fair Ministry went well last week. We set up a booth for some of the time Thurs.– Sat. and handed out free water and a gospel tract. We appreciate Chuck and Janie Wolfe, Rose Vanelli, Susan McCarty, Joan and Liz Bemesderfer, Pastor, Phil Milby, Pastor Bruce and Danielle – all “manned” the booth at different times. Thank you for your ministry. We went through 7 cases of water [48/cs] with a Gospel tract. The Lord has promised that His Word would not return void; this spiritual exercise was good for our folks here at HBC, and we made our presence known among many!
Angels do not harp at one another; they are in a chord.
A SHORT Lesson in Irony:
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, tells us it is proud of the fact it is distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, tells us “Please Do Not Feed the Animals.” Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves. This ends today’s lesson.
Our Semi-Annual Business Meeting went well; the minutes are posted. The Annual Report of the school was received; copies are on the Info Booth. The budget for the ’12-’13 school year was approved at $1,513,000. We also voted to add Tom & Stephanie Boehm to our missions family here at HBC. They are missionaries to Italy with GFA Missions.
