A Few Notes:
- The King’s Kids Planning Meeting will be tonight at 6:30. If you plan to help in this ministry, plan to be here.
- Our Deacons and I will meet tomorrow at 9 AM for a fall planning session.
As we look ahead to Sunday, our choir will sing and I will speak on Comprehending So Great a Salvation at the 11 AM service. This will be from 1 Corinthians 2:6-9. At our 6 PM service; we will introduce our study of 2nd Thessalonians with the message Rest for the Troubled from chapter 1.
I’ve been thinking …
Our God often operates in the realm of superlatives. We read in John 3:16 that He “so loved” the world, that He gave His only begotten Son. We may never fully embrace and understand God’s wonderful plan of salvation as we consider all that God has promised to them that love Him. Our attempt to understand His wisdom in saving sinners is but finite. We will visit a passage from Paul that elevates God’s wisdom above the wisdom of the great philosophers of the day and the wisdom that Paul draws upon is the wisdom of so great a salvation.
