Dear Members and Friends,
When Christ was an infant, Simeon called Him, “A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel” (Luke 2:32). In fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophesy, Matthew spoke of His ministry in Galilee with similar words, “The people which sat in darkness saw great light…” As noted on this letterhead, Jesus Christ said, “I am the light of the world,” followed by an invitation to trust Him for eternal life. This light was manifested through the incarnation at His birth in Bethlehem. Allow us to personally invite you and your family to several special opportunities to worship and rejoice with us this Christmas.
Our annual Christmas Dinner will be held on Saturday, December 14th, in Harmony Hall at 6 pm. The evening will feature a delicious meal, warm fellowship, special music, and a challenge from the Word by Pastor Jerry Hill of Calvary Baptist Church in Carneys Point. As usual, the Sunday School will provide the meat, potatoes, and dessert. Mark your calendar and plan to share the evening together.
On Sunday night, the 22nd, we will highlight the birth of Christ with a special Christmas Musical. Our Church Choir will present, “The Richest Family in Town,” with the Children’s Choir and readers’ theater. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring your family and invite your friends to a joyous and inspiring evening with a challenging message.
We will have our traditional Christmas Eve Service on the 24th at 7 PM. May we encourage you to worship with us as we focus on the eternal significance of His first advent. “Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift” (II Cor. 9:15). Kindly share the enclosed tract with a friend.
The pastoral staff extends their personal greetings to you for a blessed Christmas and a new year filled with many spiritual victories.
Because He came,
