Christmas Letter 2013

Christmas Letter 2013

The digital version: “When Christ was an infant, Simeon called Him, ‘A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel’ (Luke 2:32).  In fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophesy, Matthew spoke of His ministry in Galilee with similar words, ‘The people which sat in darkness saw great light…’  As noted on this letterhead, Jesus …” Read online.

Dinner Postponed

Due to concerns with the weather, we have decided to postpone the Christmas Dinner scheduled for tomorrow to next Saturday, December 21. If you were cooking something on behalf of HBC, get in touch with Martha Walsh.

Looking ahead

On Sunday,  Dr. Sam Horn will be our guest speaker for the day. The choir will sing and handbells will play for special music. The Mission Board will meet in E-1 after the Evening Service.

Christmas Program

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given . . .” (Isaiah 9:6) The choirs of  Hardingville Bible Church will be presenting “The Richest Family in Town,” a Christmas musical written by Garlock & Hamilton. This will include the Church Choir & Children’s Choir and a readers’ theater on Sunday, December 22, at 6 pm. Admission is free. Come and invite a friend!

Christmas Cards

Many share greetings over the holidays within the HBC family. To facilitate this, we have our own big blue box in the hall outside the church office. Save some postage and utilize this – just alpha sort your cards with a rubber band. Notes to the whole church are posted on the bulletin board as well – take a look!

Camps & Retreats

The sign-up sheet for the winter retreats at Tri-State Bible Camp is now posted, and we have settled on a Wilds week for this summer as well. Get your registration and deposit to the church office, and we will send it in for you!
