Wild supper

We had a great time last Saturday at the Wild Game Supper. All kinds of creatures were represented and many guests were present as well. We had a firearms display this year with many unique keepsakes, including family heirlooms from the 17th century! Dave Jones gave an engaging presentation on predator calling and shared the Gospel through his testimony. Praise the Lord for a great outreach! Thanks also to Martha Walsh for overseeing the food and Greg Maynard for heading up the whole event.

Looking ahead

On Sunday, Dr. E. Allen Griffith will speak for both our Morning Worship and Evening Service. Though noted differently on the church calendar, we will observe the Lord’s Table during the morning service.

Jr. & Sr. High Tubing

All who are in 7th-12th grades are invited to spend Saturday, February 8th, tubing at Blue Mountain in the Poconos with the HBC youth groups. Blue Mountain has multiple tubing lanes and has single and family-sized tubes. We’ll be leaving from HBC at 9:00 am and returning by 5:30 pm, so bring a packed lunch or extra money to buy food at the lodge. The cost is $20 per person. Each person must have a parent release form signed before the trip. The deadline is February 5th – please see Pastor Blaze for details.

Ministry reports

As part of the annual membership meeting, those responsible for different ministries at HBC give a written report of activity over the past year. In assembling these reports, an idea arose that perhaps a brief excerpt on various programs, groups, and services at our church could be given from week-to-week using this forum. Be on the lookout for these descriptions and send Pastor Bruce some data for whatever ministry you are involved in!

Sent to 203 addresses of the HBC family.

“Weekend Additions” is simply a means for sharing additional details & highlights of news & events at HBC.
