Weekend events

Both Jr. & Sr. High Teens head off at 9:00 am for tubing at Blue Mountain tomorrow. Get your permission slip and payment to Pastor Blaze beforehand if you would like to go. The King’s Kids will be bowling at Wood Lanes also. Meet at church at 11:00 or there at 11:30, and bring a permission slip. We had a group of 8 travel up to Tri-State this weekend for the Sweethearts Getaway! Keep them in prayer also.

Looking ahead

On Sunday, Pastor Smith will share a message entitled “Joshua, Successor to Moses” during our Morning Worship, and Pastor Bruce will share “It. Will. Happen.” at the Evening Service.

Ministry Spotlight: Sunday School

As part of our Sunday School ministry, we have elective classes for adults, ranging a variety of topics from book studies to systematic theology to practical ministry. Class notes are always provided, and there is much opportunity for discussion. These efforts are a unique distinctive of HBC and will be highly beneficial to your understanding of God’s Word. Spiritual growth will hardly happen if pursued only for one hour a week. Take a look at the classes offered and come join us at 9:45!

Upon recommendation

In case you missed it, a highly promoted and potentially historic creation debate happened this week. You can still watch it at or on YouTube. This was sponsored by AIG and between Bill Nye and Ken Ham.

Lost & Found

In case you have not heard, we moved the lost and found table to the coat room off the main foyer at HBC. Items tend to appear there, whether tragically lost or simply returned. Please visit it from time to time, and let persons know if you placed something there for them specifically.

Sent to 203 addresses of the HBC family.

“Weekend Additions” is simply a means for sharing additional details & highlights of news & events at HBC.
