Annual Missions Conference 2014

Join us for a special emphasis on missions entitled “At Home and Abroad” spanning over March 31 –  April 6, 2014 (Sun., Mon., Wed., Sun.) at HBC. We will have a number of our own missionaries with us as our special guests. We will have Missionary Cottage Meetings this year along with a special emphasis Mission Prayer Meeting. See below for further details.  We hope you can participate!

 

Schedule

 

Sunday: Regular Services with Missionary Aaron Shipe, church planting in Tanzania

Monday: Missionary Cottage Meetings (7 pm)

Description: Simple and personal discussion and fellowship with our missionaries

  • Aaron & Nicole Shipe (Tanzania) – at the home of Margaret Iles
  •  Bob & Terri Metze (Latin America) – at the home of Aziz & Tory Atweh
  •  Matias & Kristine Espinel (Uruguay) – at the home of Drew & Melissa Franklin

Children:

  • Kids’ Cottage (Grades K-4) in E-1 – a children’s missions meeting with Pastor Blaze & Rosemary
  • Nursery (Babies – Age 4) – also at HBC with Pastor Bruce & Danielle

Schedule:

6:45              Drop off children at HBC

7:00              Prayer/introductions

7:10              Missionary presentation

7:25              Q & A with discussion

7:45              Refreshments/fellowship

8:15               Pick up children at HBC

 

Tuesday: Missions Prayer Meeting (7 pm)

  • Simultaneous and specific prayer for each of our 30 missionary families worldwide
  • Special missionary kid (MK) emphasis for the youth prayer groups

Missionaries

 

Aaron & Nicole ShipeShipe03

The Shipes are church planters with Gospel Furthering Fellowship (GFF) in Tanzania among the unreached Datooga tribe. They are sent by the church where they both grew up, Calvary Baptist  in Westminster, MD, and where Aaron served as an assistant pastor for five years. They have been a part of our missionary family since 2010.

 

Metze04Bob & Terri Metze

 The Metzes are involved with leadership training, formerly in Mexico City, but now generally in Latin America through Baptist Mid-Missions (BMM) and with their Spanish literature division, Editorial Bautista Independiente (EBI). Their sending church is Calvary Baptist of Lancaster, PA, where Bob was once an assistant pastor. They have been part of our missionary family since 2001.

 

Matias & Kristine Espinel Espinel03

The Espinels serve in leadership training with Evangelical Mission to the Unreached (EMU) in Uruguay, where Matias grew up. They are sent by Founders Baptist Church in Dover, NJ, where Kristine was raised and her father is the founding pastor. Their Bible college, Facultad de Estudios Biblicos del Uruguay (FEBU), was just recently inaugurated. They have been part of our missionary family since 2010.

 

Conrad05Matthew & Michelle Conrad

 The Conrads are serving in church planting in Hong Kong. Their sending agency is Biblical  Ministries Worldwide (BMW), and their sending church is Faith Bible in Elkridge, MD, where Matthew served an assistant pastor for five years. They have been part of our missionary family since 2009.
