The King’s Kids will have their final meeting of the year tonight. There are some special awards ready for the clubbers during a special time (7:00-8:30 pm) with special guests (kids & parents). Special thanks to Pete and Jess Field as directors and to all the leaders for much time and effort.
On Sunday,Pastor Smith will share a message entitled “The King Enters Jerusalem” during our Morning Worship, and the HBC choir will present an Easter Celebration Program for our Evening Service. This will consist of various music numbers and special readings, and the Gospel will be shared. Invite a friend!
Giving at home
It is a blessing to have young people in our church family participate in special ministries this summer. HBC was able to give $500 each toward a ministry trip to Europe for both Kaylin Pagliarini and Chandler Doran who will be traveling with a Musical Mission Team in association with BJU. We have also given $250 toward the CIT program that Josh Roach has been accepted into at The Wilds of New England. Praise the Lord for these ones and opportunities!
We are grateful to Church Works Media and their new Gospel Meditations devotional booklets, especially the Gospel Meditations for Missions this time of year. Written by high-impact, missions-minded leaders, these contain thirty-one readings that are “intended to stir ordinary Christians with the urgency of the Great Commission.” We have a number in the foyer for you to feel free to take.
Also on the missions counter, we have a directory that includes each missionary family and organization that we support, basic details about their work, and an email address to contact them. The list is fully up-to-date. Any of them would be encouraged to hear from you from time-to-time.
You will find Hardingville and Truth Bible illustrating in part some thoughts in Not Even Close to Dead by our missionary, Matthew Conrad. May this blog be a humbling reminder to us of what God has done, is doing, and will do: “Just this Sunday, God gave us the opportunity to minister at a rural church with a cavernous auditorium. Some such churches are a shell of their former glory but not this one…” Read more
