On Sunday, Pastor Bruce will share a message entitled "Whoever Loves God" at our Morning Worship and another called "The Danger of a Double Mind" for the Evening Service. We will have some special elements during Sunday School opening to commemorate Memorial Day.
Spring Work Day 2014
On Saturday, May 17, HBC held a work day to do some spring cleaning in and around the building. The day was quite a success – completing about 13 necessary projects and involving around 35 people at one point or another. These kinds of events always make us realize how much work can always be done …See pictures.
Though we will not have our traditional HBC Family Picnic this year, we certainly want to remember those who sacrificed their very lives to protect our freedoms in this nation. May our times with those we love be certainly and freely enjoyed but done so in full and sober awareness of the great cost.
Next Saturday, June 7, we will have a Young Adult Fellowship and Ultimate Frisbee at the Franklin's house beginning at 5 PM. Come join us and invite some friends. We are planning to provide pizza for all around 7 PM. Please bring something to drink or snack on. See you then!
We would always do well to remember the American War Deaths through History. A powerful lesson resides in the fact "that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:23) and so much more that "in due time Christ died for the ungodly" (Romans 5:6). How might we show our gratitude?

About Pastor Bruce Dare
Pastor Bruce Dare served as an Assistant to the Pastor from 2007 to 2015, filling a primary administration role along with various teaching and discipleship responsibilities.
