Fire & ice

The Jr. High Teens will enjoy their Ice Cream & Bonfire Night this evening. There are some special events planned. This will be their final meeting of the season. Thanks especially to the leaders and to the Lord for every moment to build relationships and point others to Christ this year.

Looking ahead

On Sunday, Missionary Bob Depue will speak for both our Morning Worship and Evening Service. We will also have special remarks, prayer, and a gift for moms in light of Mother's Day.

Treasures from the Word

On Mother's Day in 2011, we distributed a devotional booklet called "Treasures from the Word" that contains Scripture verses especially near and dear to the hearts of the ladies at HBC. Some submissions include just the reference itself while others provide commentary as to why the passage is so meaningful. We've recently made additional copies of this – look for them in the foyer on Sunday if you would like one.

Trip to The Wilds

A group of teens from HBC will be going south this year to The Wilds in North Carolina from June 30 – July 5 with Evangelist Jeremy Frazor. Pick up a brochure and submit your registration to the Church Office. You can also find more details and register online, but let us know! The church gives a discount of $100 off the cost of camp to any young person from HBC.

Upon recommendation

Some do not soberly value the privilege of motherhood and sadly the sanctity of life. Thanks to Al Mohler for his piece on the related media as "The Culture of Death Goes Viral." This is the tragic story of an employee at the Cherry Hill Women's Center and the widely publicized account of her own abortion. May we all be grateful for our mothers who allowed the life God gave us to continue, and may we love the lives of all the little ones.

Sent to 201 addresses of the HBC family.

"Weekend Additions" is simply a means for sharing additional details & highlights of news & events at HBC
