Semi-Annual Meeting

We are grateful for the business conducted at the membership meeting held last week. Below you will find a couple notes of news that might interest you:

• We will maintain the Deacon Board, Mission Board, and all other church officers until January 2015.

• The GCCS budget for the next year was approved, including plans for various capital improvements

Gloucester Summer

Speaking of capital improvements, some concrete work and painting is being done these days on the campus at our Christian school. Much is often accomplished over the break as we get ready for the Fall. Take a look at the pictures on the GCCS Facebook page here to see the progress. Praise the Lord for providing for these necessary updates!

Kids in Collingswood

This past week six of our Sr. High teens, along with Pastor Blaze, partnered with Calvary Baptist Church and led a 5 Day Kids Club at a park located in West Collingswood. Our teens had been preparing for this week for the past month by attending training sessions, and we praise the Lord for the work He accomplished in the hearts and lives of both our teens and the children in the community. For about two hours each day, the teens organized games, led verse-memory time, taught missionary stories, and most importantly, explained the gospel one-on-one with elementary children. By the end of the week, we saw God answer prayer as one of the young girls accepted Christ as her Savior! This was a special opportunity for our teens and we give all the praise and glory to Christ!

Looking ahead

On Sunday, Pastor Smith will share a message entitled "The Day Without Excuse" for our Morning Worship, and Pastor Bruce will share "A Blessing that Blesses" at the Evening Service.

Upon recommendation

Every wonder what a plague looks like? Here's What Wisconsin Looks Like Covered in Millions of Flies as you can see on "The Week" shows how "This year's mayfly hatch in the Mississippi River reached Biblical proportions." It's quite a sight. We can be grateful to be NT believers. And to live in NJ.
