Special thank-you

"Dear New Friends and Family at HBC

Thank you so much for your kind reception to our family. Through your hard work, kind words, and thoughtful gifts you have made Christ's love very evident. Thank you for preparing our home so well for us. The parsonage was in great shape. We have experienced fantastic meals and delicious Jersey fruits and vegetables. We look forward to getting to know each of you and serving together to further Christ's kingdom.

Sincerely, The Saxton Family"

Looking ahead

On Sunday, Pastor Saxton will share a message entitled "Being Diligent to Maintain Spirit – Produce Unity" from Ephesians 4:1-6 for both our Morning Worship and Evening Service. Also, Kaylin Pagliarini and Chandler Doran will share a report on their recent musical ministry trip to Europe.

Ministry Spotlight: Adult Choir

Can you sing? Shouldn't you be singing in our choir? Rehearsals are starting up bright and early this year – next Sunday! Perhaps the Lord would have you to be a part of this ministry in offering Him worship and praise. If you are at all interested, see Dave Hibbard for a brief interview. Thanks to all our faithful choir members!

GCCS benevolence

At the Semi-Annual Business Meeting, the Deacons have recommended and the Membership approved that a special offering be taken occasionally to replenish the Benevolent Fund at Gloucester County Christian School . This will occur on fifth Sundays of the month, the first being August 31. Give as the Lord leads to these needs!

H-building Dedication

Also, a decision was formally made to name the new high school building at GCCS in honor and memory of Pastor Franklin. The formal name will be "The Mark W. Franklin Center for Christian Education." A plaque will be revealed with comments from various individuals. Although the meeting will be brief, it will be a heart-felt tribute to a man who influenced this ministry greatly. You are invited to attend on Sunday, September 7 at 1 PM.
