Looking ahead

On Sunday, Pastor Saxton will share a message entitled “Living in the World without Loving the World” from 1 John 2:15-17 at our Morning Worship and another called “The Lord’s Care for and Love of Widows and Widowers” from James 1:27 for the Evening Service.

Hoops mission

Ben Ham is presently on a mission trip with National Hoops Ministries, a basketball outreach, till October 6. This itinerant evangelistic ministry organizes tournaments as a means and occasion for the Gospel. On behalf of HBC, the Mission Board has given $500 in support of this unique opportunity. Be in prayer that all goes smoothly, especially logistics with travel.

Frank A. Eberhardt: 1954-2014

We received word that Frank Eberhardt passed away last month. Frank served with Gospel Outreach International to Roman Catholics and had been supported by HBC since 1990. Born in Philadelphia and trained to be a missionary priest in Princeton, he turned to Christ upon searching the Scriptures for himself. You can read the obituary and a summary of his life and ministry here.

HBC Car Wash

Could your car use a good wash? If it does, don’t put it off any longer! Next Friday, October 3rd, the HBC Youth Group will hold a car wash for all in the church family age 50 years and above. The car wash will operate in the HBC parking lot from 7:15 pm – 8:15 pm and is completely free of charge! So make your way (with your car) over to the church to see some teens in action serving Christ by serving others!

Next Young Adult Fellowship

The October YAF activity will be at the Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park in Moorestown, NJ on Saturday, October 4 at 8 PM. This place has a number of adult-appropriate activities (including a dodgeball court) and would also accommodate kids. Just reserve a 90-minute jump package for $20. Meet us there at 7:30 or for dinner at 6:00 – coordinate with Drew Franklin.

Sent to 205 addresses of the HBC family.

“Weekend Additions” is simply a means for sharing additional details & highlights of news & events at HBC.
