Glad Friday

We trust you had a great day of Thanksgiving yesterday with family or friends. And perhaps you’re giving thanks for a great deal you found today! No matter our station in life, we have been well blessed by God, especially in Christ. As an extra reminder – there is no King’s Kids or Youth Group tonight. Enjoy your time at home!

Looking ahead

On Sunday, Pastor Saxton will share a message entitled “God’s Golden Chain of Eternal Security – Foreknowledge and Predestination” from Romans 8:28-30 at our Morning Worship and another called “The Evils and Seriousness of the Complaining Spirit: Part II” from Philippians 2:14-15 for the Evening Service.

YAF Testimony Luncheon

Young adults, please come for an hour after the morning service on December 1st for a time of testimonies of what God has been teaching you or working in your heart this year through the various Bible Study Groups – and come to hear others share and to hear what we’re planning for 2015 groups! We will be planning a luncheon of hoagies and sides. Join us!

Thanksgiving thanks

We rejoice in the blessing of being able to provide food items to 10 area families. We had record donation and distribution this year!  Thank you. And special thanks to the youth group assembling and certain young adults delivering. May a lasting impact be felt by all parties, to the glory of God!

Ladies’ Christmas Festival

Ladies, sign up on Sunday to attend the Christmas Festival coming up on December 13. Feel free to invite friends and family of all ages. This will include dinner – in fact, contact Dorothy Pagliarini if you would be interested in making a crock pot of soup or chili.

Netz Prayer Effort

In light of Don Netz’s upcoming open heart surgery on December 15, Josh Thomas has initiated a 24-hour prayer effort for him. Please be in prayer for his health, the family, and the medical personnel involved. Feel free to sign up here for a 15-minute time slot or contact Josh for help.

Upon recommendation

We still have some copies of the devotional Rejoicing in Christ the Newborn King available in Pastor Saxton’s office for $6. Also, pick up copies of the tract From Creation to Bethlehem for your Christmas cards this year.

Sent to 206 addresses of the HBC family.

“Weekend Additions” is simply a means for sharing additional details & highlights of news & events at HBC.
