Strengthening Saturday

Many are already planning to attend the marriage sessions tomorrow at HBC. There is still time to register and invite others. Join us at 1 pm in the Assembly Room! Also, there is a brunch for widows at 11 am at Lane Bodine’s. This is simply a time of food, fun, and fellowship.

Looking ahead

On Sunday, Pastor Saxton will share a message entitled “Six Ways God Uses a Believer’s Struggle against Sin for His Good” from Romans 8:28-30 at our Morning Worship and another called “The Message of Malachi” for the Evening Service. Parents of teens, there will be a brief youth group choir practice after the Sunday morning service in the Assembly Room.

Thanksgiving boxes

We are gathering non-perishable food items for needy families in the area again this year. Please bring in donations before Wednesday, November 19. Also, be sure to check that the date is still good and the food is something you would use! You can leave them on the table marked “Thanksgiving Items” in the Foyer. These will be sorted and delivered over that weekend. Thanks in advance!

Fellowship Missions Trip

The next FFBC S.T.A.M.P trip will be to Newfoundland, Canada at First Baptist Church in Mt. Pearl from July 10-23, 2015. Pick up a brochure in the Foyer if you are interested. The group size will be 7-10 people at a cost of $1,600 per person. Applications must be received by next Saturday, November 15. Let us know if you are interested.

Hopewell property

We have been praying for the sale of the Hopewell Crest Chapel, presently owned by our Fellowship of Fundamental Bible Churches, so that the funds can be used in the ministry of the FFBC and Tri-State Bible Camp. The township voted on Tuesday that the school district may purchase the property. Hopefully, settlement will be in the near future! Thanks for praying.
