Making progress

Thanks to all who helped make the Progressive Dinner a success, especially the hosts for their time and effort. We had plenty of food in the end, and the general attendance was 25-55 at the preliminaries, 100-125 at the main course, and about 85 ate desserts. Thank the Lord, most importantly, for all He has provided and some good fellowship yesterday!

Looking ahead

On Sunday, Pastor Saxton will share a message entitled “Justification by Faith: The Answer to America’s True National Debt Crisis” from Romans 8:28-34 at our Morning Worship and another called “My Love for Christ: Extravagant or Minimal?” from Mark 14:1-9 for the Evening Service. Also, Kaylin Pagliarini will be presenting her Senior Violin Recital beforehand at 5 pm. Come out and invite a friend to this special presentation.

Winter Weekends

Parents, teens, and kids – don’t forget about the Tri-State youth retreats coming in the next couple weeks. Pick up a brochure and sign up at church. You can also register online here. See Pastor Blaze with any questions.

Weekend help

While we’re on that topic – become a Tri-State Bible Camp staff member for a weekend! TSBC is looking for weekend volunteers to work alongside our full-time staff for many upcoming retreats. See the Bulletin Board at church for the dates and more information, or feel free to contact the camp directly.

Winter Break Get-Together

If you are a college-age young adult, you know that winter break is a great time to catch up with friends that you haven’t  seen for a while. This Tuesday, we will have a Winter Break Get-Together in Harmony Hall from 7-9 pm. It will be a great time of fellowship and will include volleyball, food, an encouragement from God’s Word, and a chance to share with other’s what God’s been doing in your life. Any questions, please feel free to contact Pastor Blaze. We hope to see you there!

Merkle Move-In

The Merkle Family will begin here at HBC next Sunday, January 11. If you can help them move in on Friday, January 9, beginning at 5 PM, see Pastor Bruce. Feel free to come after that whenever you can to lend a hand!

Sent to 207 addresses of the HBC family.

“Weekend Additions” is simply a means for sharing additional details & highlights of news & events at HBC.
