Dr. Jerry Priest is formerly professor of historical theology at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary (1988–2010). He is a graduate of Bob Jones University (B.A., M.Div., and Ph.D.). He also studied at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Wake Forest University. He taught at Clearwater Christian College (1971–1975) and Piedmont International University (1975–1988), where he was dean of students. He also taught part time at Northland International University until 2013, and has served as adjunct professor in historical and practical theology at Central Baptist Theological Seminary, International Baptist College and Seminary, and Bob Jones University Seminary. He teaches adult classes in Bible and church history at Community Baptist Church in Greer, South Carolina. He has conducted classes for pastors in the South Pacific, India, Tanzania, and Canada.

Besides his academic qualifications, Dr. Priest has had extensive experience in the practical aspects of ministry. He was pastor of Northside Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and has had held numerous interim pastorates. He was endorsed by the Associated Gospel Churches in 1967 as an officer in the United States Army Chaplain Corps, serving various units in the North Carolina and Michigan Army National Guard. He is a graduate of the Chaplain Command and General Staff College. After twenty-eight years of service, he retired from the military in 1999 holding the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Dr. Priest has conducted workshops for preachers and spoken at Bible conferences throughout North America. He has also studied abroad in Israel and Germany, and has conducted study tours in Great Britain and the Netherlands. In addition to numerous journal articles and book chapters, Dr. Priest has authored The Baptist Family Catechism and co-authored with his wife The ABC Memory Verse Program.

Dr. Priest has been happily married to Beverly for over fifty years; she retired in 2009, having had over forty years teaching experience in Christian education. They reside in Taylors, SC. They have two children and six grandchildren all of whom are active members in local independent Baptist churches. Their son, Dr. Kevin Priest, is administrator of Hampton Park Christian School (Greenville, SC), and their son-in-law, Lieutenant Colonel Scott Bullock, is an active Army chaplain stationed at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Mac and Beth Lynmac-bethch are graduates of Bob Jones University where they both earned degrees in the field of music.  After their marriage in 1982, they traveled with The Wilds Evangelistic Team until 1988 when they joined the fulltime staff at the campsite.  Mac served as the music director of The Wilds, and Beth as one of the pianists for nearly 30 years.  In September of 2012, the Lord directed them to join the staff of Catawba Springs Christian Church where they serve as Music Pastor and Pianist.

Having ministered in churches around the world, Mac and Beth are sensitive to the needs facing today’s Christian. Their work in producing music for the local church reflects their desire is to see the Lord Jesus Christ exalted through Christ-honoring music.  Their goal is to be a blessing and encouragement to believers as they minister through testimony and song.
