It is our desire that our weekly youth ministries at Hardingville Bible Church are focused on Christ-honoring principles. We have special groups each week organized by various ages to enhance the ministry focus for our youth. Each group is led by dedicated leaders who have a desire to reach and teach our youth for the kingdom of God.
Our Mission Statement
To reach young people for Christ, to teach Scriptural principles for daily living, to promote fellowship among other Christian young people, to disciple youth for ministry, and to do all for the glory of God.
At HBC, we have a Children's Church ministry that takes place during the Sunday morning worship service at 11 AM. Jr. Church is for any child from age 3 - 2nd grade. There are two separate age groups that meet in different locations with different teachers. Ages 3 – 5 begin with opening exercises in A-4 directly after Sunday School at 10:45 a.m. K-2nd grades meet in the Main Auditorium and are dismissed for Jr. Church at the hymn before the message and have their lesson time in B-1. At 12:15 each Sunday, grades 1st-2nd are moved to E-1 to be picked up by their parents while children ages 4 - Kindergarten are picked up in A- 2.
The King’s Kids Ministry is a weekly children’s ministry that meets on Friday nights from 7 – 9 PM during the regular school year. This ministry is focused on children age 4 through the 6th grade. Each Friday night there is an opening song time followed by a game time, a handbook time and then a Bible Lesson. The boys and girls are divided into grade levels for each of the main time slots on a given Friday. For example, the 4’s and 5’s have their own games, lesson, and handbook time. In addition to their regular meetings, there are usually two monthly activities or special events. A staff of 20 adults is involved in this weekly ministry led by Eric Griffin.
The church Nursery is available for all the services and is staffed with faithful ones who attend our church. There is both a baby and a toddler nursery. Our nursery policy is posted and there are specific guidelines that are followed. Parents are given a number and assigned a cubby hole for their child’s personal items as well as a pager in case a parent is needed during the service. The Nursery supervisor oversees this ministry and checks that the workers are there for each service.
Vacation Bible School
Each year we conduct a Vacation Bible School for children and young people. The VBS program runs during the day from 9:00 – 12:15 PM for 5 days during the summer months. Our theme this year was "Operation Arctic, Exploring the Coolest Book on the Planet" from Answers in Genesis. We usually have 40 – 50 workers for this action packed week of ministry. Games and activities, crafts and snack time, are all a part of the adventure. Daily Bible lessons and a song time accent the theme of the week. This second week in July is a busy, yet fruitful for us as we reach out to boys and girls age 4 – 14.
The Youth Group meets weekly during the school year on Friday nights from 7 – 9 PM for a time of Bible study, games, competition, small groups, and fellowship. Each week the leaders endeavor to present the truth of God’s Word and establish healthy friendships, all with a hope to provide a means of good spiritual challenge and growth. In addition to their weekly meetings, the Youth Group participates in regular monthly events, including various service and fun activities. This ministry is focused on teens in 7th through 12th grades and is led by Pastor Blaze and Rosemary Pagliarini.
